Kuala Lumpur diary

The view of Kuala Lumpur from our hotel room at Melia.
Sleep deprived and waking up to a delightfully sugary breakfast.
Shopping in Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Bintang. Here I went a little crazy at H&M, Sephora, Topshop and who can forget the mouth-watering lollie stores. Suria KLCC you have definitely stolen my heart. It was definitely my favourite shopping mall which was full of pretty, feminine and affordable clothes.
Story time! We were walking along the tunnel to Suria KLCC from the Pavillion and something was going on. A lady gave us two markers and so we just wrote on the wall, not really knowing or understanding what was actually happening. I guess we are now apart of Kuala Lumpur's historical wall art?
Experiencing the mesmerizing traditional food of Kuala Lumpur. Shaved ice desert is definitely one not to miss!
You can't go to Kuala Lumpur and not admire the skies and the nations aspirations from level 88. It's like going to Sydney and not climbing the Harbour Bridge!
Such a beautiful view of Kuala Lumpur and the perfect place to take in just how big this city is.
Saying goodnight to the hustle and bustle and crazy chaos of Kuala Lumpur.
Drinks in the piano lounge sounded like a relaxing end to our adventurous day in Kuala Lumpur but we were wrong. Next up was our turn. Eeek memory blank! I ended up playing some Christmas carols and parts of Brahm's Intermezzo Op.117 No.2. It ended up being a loooong night but a night to remember.
Dancing on windowsills while saying goodbye to this beautiful city.

Finally! A chance to start uploading my holiday photo diaries. Drum roll, first up is my Kuala Lumpur photo diary in an order I'm somewhat happy with. We only spent two days here, and because it's shopping central, you guessed it! most of our time was spent shopping at Pavillion, Suria KLCC and Lot 10 deciphering our way through the maze of shops amongst eating and running across roads trying to hail taxi's that wouldn't cheat us, sitting in traffic, getting a humongous pile of clothes altered and running across the city back to our hotel during peak hour (as the traffic wasn't moving) as we had a plane to catch!

As you can tell, (from my lack of photos as most of our time was spent shopping) we only scratched the surface of what Kuala Lumpur had to offer but the little nutshell we managed to peak into was an exciting new adventure. Plus, we finally made it to Sephora which isn't in Australia so it was like makeup heaven for us. Sigh, I love exchange rates! Tick. Tock. Tick Tock. All aboard it's Curryland time! Love B xx

Welcome Aboard!

The day finally arrived when it was time to leave little sunny Perth for the land of shopping, Kuala Lumpur en route to the motherland, India. This was only our second trip to India, but seeing as we hadn't been for 9 years of which I was sick the whole time, my sister and I weren't looking forward to going back one single bit. Little did we know, we were in for a treat full of magic and wonder which would want to make us go back ASAP! Sigh, B xx

Carry On

These are things that my bag is stocked with every single day, all floating around loosely. I have also forgotten a few things, like loose pens, medicine, my wallet! This is why before I started packing, I wrote down a list of everything that I needed to pack in my handbag, carry on duffel bag and suitcase. You never know what you may leave behind!

1. Ooh La La handbag. If you know me personally you'll know that Paris has an equal tie with New York in my heart and I love anything to do with it. So this bag, was perfect! It always does surprise me though just how much I can fit inside it, and how much weight it does carry. At one point my black wedges were even propped up inside!

2. Vogue sunglasses. I love them, especially the gold rim along the edges. It matches me perfectly!

3. Diary/Passport. I bought this diary because of its colour. I absolutely adore mint and writing about my travels and experiences, and plans for what is to come.

4. Earphones. Pure and simple way of noise cancellation in the plane. They are one of the best things a traveller could invest in, from drastically improving long haul flights, to having the company of background music anywhere you go

5. Loose change. I have quite a few currencies floating around the bottom of my bag that I just keep adding too. I think it is that I wish to go back to those places and so there is no point in running to the piggy bank to exchange it!

6. Hair accessories. If you haven't noticed by now, bows and flowers are my statement pieces and I will always be wearing one or the other. Therefore, it is never a surprise when you find a bow or two at the bottom of my bag.

7. Loose jewellery. I don't generally change around my bracelets and things, unless I find new and exciting things. But for now, I love my pearls, They go with pretty much any outfit anyways.

8. Body Shop Born Lippy. These are my favourite flavoured lipglosses. I have three favourite flavours - watermelon, strawberry and passionfruit. I have loved these for years!

9. Lucas PaPaw ointment. Pretty much to any Australian girl this is their best friend. To all of you around the world who don't know what it is, it is the best thing you will ever find as it caters for your lips in every season, or for any occasion.

10. Phone/Ipod. Simple. They are my life. From travel plans, to daily plans, to photo galleries, to music playlists - they carry a nutshell of my life.

11. Mentos. For those of you that have ever been on a camping trip, or plane ride with me know that I always have a mentos stick along for the ride.

12. Lumix. When I don't want to take my big camera out, or perhaps just capture a more sentimental moment with friends, this is my saviour.

NYS

After what has felt like forever staying here in Goa, is shortly coming to an end. I only have less than a week left in this beautiful place which I come from. I have many stories to share with you all, but due to the lack of time and internet connection, I promise when I get back to Australia I will enlighten you with stories of the culture, people and atmosphere of this beautiful place. For now, here's a happy little nutshell of Candolim Beach, Goa. Happy New Year to all of you around the world! I hope that your New Year is painted with colours of love, care, warmth, affection, trust, friendship and joy. Best wishes to all of you! Love always, B xx

Seventeen

After a month of scheming, and lies and setting up a baseline story it was finally perfectly set out. A friend and I had put together a little surprise party for my sister and she had absolutely no idea up until the last second when she saw everyone sitting around with presents, and cute little nibbles. It went absolutely perfectly, under the beautiful summer sunshine. Happy birthday to my little mischievous ballerina little sister, lala love you!!

Rainy Days.

{Flower: Alannah Hill. Dress: Boutique on Chapel Street. Sandals: Nine West}

La La La. The weather is crazy here at the moment one minute sunny, the next a small gust of wind, the next pouring rain and crazy loud thunder accompanied by zippity zap lightning. For those of you who know me, know that I adore the rain and the atmosphere it brings of cuddles and puddles and a rainbow to end a beautiful rainy day. B xx
